Bio
Eva Leube is newly back in Europe and now based at Lake Zurich in Switzerland, after 20 years of working experience in Australia, South Africa and USA .
Born and raised in Berlin/ Germany, Eva precociously obtained her Master Watchmaker diploma at the age of 23. Eva went on to work in a fourth generation family-owned watch company in Lucerne/ Switzerland before working for Chronos Master Watchmakers in Cape Town, South Africa. During this time she completed a Rolex course in Geneva before eventually moving to Sydney to work for Rolex Australia.
In 2004, she returned to Europe and worked with Ulysse Nardin in Switzerland, followed by two years working with independent watchmaker and master of complications Thomas Prescher. Eva’s time with Prescher was spent building custom timepieces with particularly complex functions such as retrograde time indications and multiple-axis flying tourbillons.
After spending 13 years honing her skills and learning from some of the best in the business, Eva returned to Australia. Following the birth of her son, she set up her own workshop and began turning her vision of a curved watch into a reality. Four years later, Ari was unveiled at Baselworld 2011 to great acclaim.
